1周年記念展示「Better Choice」開催

all day place shibuya は 2023年4月27日に１周年を迎えます。私たちは開業時より客室備品の使い捨てを極力減らすだけでなく減らしたコストで、より環境に優しくクオリティが高いアメニティを選んできました。１周年を記念してそれらをもっと楽しんでもらうために、アメニティを使用した作品を制作・展示致します。海洋プラスチックを削減する中綿を雲のようなライティングにして光らせたり、竹製の歯ブラシを植物に見立て鉢から生やしたりと実際に客室で使用しているアイテムを普段とは違う視点から見ることの出来る展示となっています。展示はどなた様もどうぞお気軽にお立ち寄りください、そして気に入った展示作品があればぜひお気軽にフロントスタッフまでお声がけ下さい。この展示を通してこれまでの旅の仕方を考え、これからも旅が楽しめるような未来をお客様と一緒に作っていく機会になりますように。

"Better Choice - 1st Anniversary Exhibition"

Throughout the past year, we have been trying to minimise the use of disposable room amenities and have chosen more eco-friendly and higher quality products with the cost savings. Celebrating our 1st anniversary on 27th April, 2023, we are showcasing some of these amenities in an art exhibition.We have transformed the items using in our guest rooms into unique and creative pieces. For example, we have turned filling for bedding and pillows into cloud-shaped lighting and used bamboo toothbrushes to create a plant-inspired display. You can get a chance to see our everyday room amenities from a different perspective.Feel free to drop by the exhibition.We are happy to know if you find something you like.Through this exhibition we hope more of our guests will get inspired and work together to create a more enjoyable and sustainable future.

【展示内容】

①布団・枕（中綿）/ 海洋プラスチックを削減するデュベの中綿
・all day placeの寝具は、海洋プラスチックを使用した中綿を使っています。今回は普段客室では見る事の出来ない中綿を取り出し、その寝心地を表現できるよう、フワフワと浮いて光る照明を制作しました。 ( https://plasticbank.com/ )

②竹歯ブラシ / オーガニックの竹歯ブラシ
・竹歯ブラシはプラスチックではなく「竹」で出来ているということを表現するため、使用済みの歯ブラシをペイントして新たな植物を制作しました。
フロントにあるたくさんの植物の中に溶け込んでいます。( https://miyo-organic.com/ )

③コースター / 廃棄衣類を使用したコースター
・紙の使い捨てコースターを廃止し、繰り返し使える私たちのコースターは糸くずを圧縮し出来ています。
今回の展示では白黒のその見た目から、オセロのように遊べるアメニティへと変化しています。

④スリッパ / 廃タイヤを使用したスリッパ　( https://indosole.jp/ )
・不織布の使い捨てスリッパを廃止し、廃タイヤから出来ているスリッパを使用しています。不法投棄されたタイヤはスリッパにすれば耐久性もよく丸洗いできるので繰り返し使えて衛生的です。展示ではタイヤの状態からパウダー状に粉砕し、ソールになるまでの素材を展示しています。

⑤カラフェ / ペットボトルやめました
・ペットボトルの部屋入れをやめて、客室にはカラフェを置いています。
8階の給水スペースでいつでも冷たい水を飲むことができます。
私たちのホテルは160室あるので、1部屋あたり2本のペットボトルを削減したとすれば、毎日320本のペットボトルを削減し、年間では私たちの施設だけで11万6800本も削減したことになります。

⑥シャンプー等 / 環境負荷の低いバスアメニティ
環境に配慮するだけでなく、実際の使い心地や香りも心地いいバスアメニティを選びました。
展示ではオーガニック精油をブレンドしたその香りを体験できるよう、ミニボトルを設置しています。現在は日本での取り扱いがないブランドなのでぜひ体験してみてください！

The exhibition includes:

Bedding and pillows (filling): We have used filling made from recycled ocean plastic in our bedding. For the exhibition we have created cloud-shaped lighting to showcase the comfort of this unique material.

Bamboo toothbrushes: Showcasing the material of bamboo, we have painted used toothbrushes from MiYO Organic to create plant-inspired displays and blended them into our plant at the reception.

Coasters: We have created coasters from compressed textile waste and used them instead of disposable paper one. For the exhibition we have turned them into an Othello-inspired amenity.

Slippers: We have used slippers from indosole, which are made from recycled tires. We have showcased the process of transforming tires into powder and then into the sole of a slipper.

Carafe: We have decided not to offer plastic bottles of water in our guest rooms and installed a water station on the 8th floor to refill with carafe instead. It has been estimated to achieve reducing our plastic bottle usage by 116,800 bottles per year.

Bathroom amenities: We have selected bathroom amenities from APPELLES, which are eco-friendly and have a low impact on the environment.
