Regarding Unauthorized Access to the Hotel Management System

Dear Valued Guests,
Thank you for your continued support of our hotel.
We regret to inform you that unauthorized access to our hotel management system occurred, leading to the unauthorized access of certain guest reservation details. Below is a summary of the incident and the measures we have taken in response.

1. Overview of the Incident
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Between June 28, 2024, and July 30, 2024, unauthorized access was made to the hotel management system at our facility, resulting in the exposure of guest reservation details. This was confirmed on February 13, 2025, through communication from the system provider.

2. Current Investigation and Response
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
・Affected Information
Of the guests who made reservations and stayed at our facility between June 2024 and June 2026, the names and phone numbers associated with 1,097 reservations were accessed.
Additionally:
16 reservations included addresses.
9 reservations included email addresses.
Note:
No credit card details were accessed.
In one instance, encrypted credit card information was stored, but the encryption ensured the information remained secure.

・Cause
It is suspected that the unauthorized access occurred through the fraudulent redirection to a fake management screen, leading to the possible compromise of a staff account. The investigation into the cause is ongoing.

・Measures Taken
In immediate response to the incident, we have changed the login credentials for all staff members, including those directly affected. Furthermore, virus scans have been conducted on the hotel’s PCs, and we have confirmed that no viruses were detected.
*Since August 6, 2024, two-factor authentication (2FA) and new device login notifications have been implemented by the system provider to enhance security.
